An Evening with . . . Suzanne M. Best
Tenets of Yoga: Living a Yogic Life
Suzanne M. Best, IAYT-certified yoga therapist, will present a Yoga philosophy primer on Wednesday, April 24 as part of the Bay Center for Spirituality’s Evening With . . . series. Although the word “yoga” conjures visions of humans twisted into various pretzel shapes, Yoga has more to offer than wearing comfortable yoga togs and performing physical postures. Raja Yoga is considered the science of the mind. Suzanne will concentrate the presentation on concepts of Raja Yoga as derived from the yogic texts The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Bhagavad Gita.
Suzanne will explore these ancient guidelines and offer some translation to a modern day life. Bring pen and paper for notes and self-study exercises during the lecture.
Suzanne is an International Association of Yoga Therapists certified yoga therapist, Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500®, Yoga Alliance Certified Education Provider, AFAA certified personal trainer, AFAA certified group exercise instructor, and president of Santosa Studio LLC in Kilmarnock.
