Soul Collage

Monday, September 23rd, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

The Bay Center, 31 Noblett Lane, Kilmarnock

During times of stress, we tend to forget our resources. Creating and projecting meaning onto a collage allows for internal and sometimes unconscious resources to come to the surface. As participants in this process called Soul Collage, deep and meaningful conversations will evolve that supports each of us as we journey towards healing and wholeness.

Join Diana Jamison, LCSW and Soul Collage facilitator in this Soul Collage Session. No experience necessary. All materials will be provided.  If you have a pair of small pointy scissors, please bring them along. Be prepared to be in the flow of your own creativity.

In 1968 Diana was awarded an MSW from the VCU School of Social Work. She has worked as a psychotherapist in public and private settings since that time. She uses art as a healing modality in her work.

“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” Picasso.

A SERIES OF WORKSHOPS TO SUPPORT HEALING

NAVIGATING LIFE-THREATENING ILLNESS

Mondays 10am - 12pm | September 16 - October 14

Pre-registration is required. Donations are appreciated.

At the Bay Center, we understand that challenging medical diagnoses eventually touch every family. In alignment with our mission, we are offering an opportunity in a small group setting to explore our journey to healing, learn from each other’s experience and reflect on the path that works for each of us, as patients or caregivers. Our goal is to enhance connection and social support, which have been proven to be very important in coping as we digest news of our own or a loved one illness.

Our offering may be right for you if you have questions, such as: How do I keep it together as I or a loved one is facing the challenges of a life-altering medical diagnosis? How do I keep a positive mindset that supports the recovery plan? How do I support my love ones as they travel through their healing journey? How do I sidestep being defined by my diagnosis? What resources are available that can help me move forward?

Since the road to healing is not linear, and is different for each person, our program is organized in a series of four 2-hour workshops, focusing on key aspects of this journey. The program is as follows:
